Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how HIRED ("we", "us", or "our") handles your information when you use our mobile application. We built HIRED on a local-first principle — your recruitment data belongs to you and stays on your device.

1. Data You Enter Into the App

All information you enter into HIRED — including company names, job roles, recruitment stages, notes, interview dates, and CV links — is stored exclusively on your device in a local SQLite database.

This applies to all users, including those with a Premium subscription. We do not operate any servers that receive, store, or process your recruitment data. We have no access to what you enter into the app.

2. No Account Required

HIRED does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information such as your name or email address to use the app.

You may optionally set a local display name within the app's Profile section. This name is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party.

3. Third-Party Services

While the app does not send your recruitment data anywhere, we use the following third-party services for app functionality and subscription management:

RevenueCat
We use RevenueCat solely to manage HIRED Premium subscriptions. When you make a purchase, RevenueCat receives:

• An anonymous device identifier (not linked to your name or email)
• Transaction data from Google Play (purchase confirmation)
• Your subscription status (active / expired)

RevenueCat does not receive your recruitment data, notes, company names, or any other content you enter into the app.

All payment transactions are processed by Google Play. We do not collect or store your payment card information.

4. App Permissions

HIRED may request the following Android permissions:

• POST_NOTIFICATIONS — To send you local reminders about upcoming interview stages and follow-up actions. Notifications are generated entirely on-device; no notification content is sent to our servers.
• INTERNET — Required solely for verifying your Premium subscription status via RevenueCat and for Google Play Billing. Not used to transmit your recruitment data.
• RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — To reschedule local notifications after your device restarts, so reminders are not lost.

The app does not request access to your camera, microphone, location, contacts, or external storage.

5. Data Deletion

Since all your data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it at any time by uninstalling the app. This permanently removes all recruitment records, notes, and settings from your device.

To delete only your subscription-related anonymous identifier from RevenueCat's systems, contact us at the email address below and we will submit a deletion request on your behalf.

6. Children's Privacy

HIRED is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. The app is intended for individuals actively participating in job recruitment processes.

7. Data Security

Because your data is stored locally on your device, its security depends on your device's own security settings. We recommend enabling device encryption and using a screen lock to protect your information.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you through the app. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
